| After a millennium of poverty, famine & oppression, the Irish are happily spending their newfound wealth, thank you very much. Perhaps because the national ethos is so tied to modest rural rhythms (& because they got such a late start), this is still not evident. The Irish haven't cluttered up their country with stuff yet. But they're working on it. |
