Tim was the soul of affability. I never saw him get angry. Even when the coke habit was obvious & he owed money all over town, no one was worried because he didn't seem to be. He got a local woman pregnant. Then one night he "borrowed" his landlady's car & disappeared. A week or so later they found the car with an empty tank south of San Francisco. Tim was never heard from again. I don't know if anyone pursued him or even checked with his family in England.He was gone for good.
