| Most fruit/flower markets in the city are owned & managed by Koreans. The workers are young men who speak Spanish quietly & keep to themselves. When they're not physically working, they post themselves on the street and keep watch. I have seen them out there in the first clean washing light of early morning and in the middle of the night, when the 24-hour markets are bright islands in the dark streets. |
