| In the west of Ireland, where my father's ancestors are buried, practically every view includes the sea. My father and mother are buried together beneath a simple granite stone overlooking the Winooski River outside Montpelier, VT. Behind the Winooski, there are lovely wooded hills. A road passes through the scene, traveled by busy humans in all weathers. It's the world. |
