Karin had her daughter in Maryland at age 16 & her son a few years later. In her late twenties, divorced, she headed out for the West Coast, running, like most of us, away from something -- toward something she probably couldn't express.
Freedom kept changing shape in Karin's life, but she kept following it &, as much as any of us can expect to, she has remained free. Today she teaches English as a 2nd language in China. Ironically, she can't look at this website. It's called "freeyellow," and the Chinese block all sites that contain the word "free." |
